An open layout, between the two sides of the slope, generates wide variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, always with the backdrop of the mountains and hills of the Zagaleta. The use of concrete walls provides structural properties to save large open spaces, while blends with the ground. .
Functional program is addressed to a sophisticated client and to cover a broad program of necessities resolved in a simple way.
It is orientated to take advantage of the solar cycle, with the area of family bedrooms on the east façade, to enjoy the morning sun. The common area stays open to the bright south, which, by means of the living room setback is protected from solar radiation in the summer and let the winter light to come inside.
The house consists of a large volume with sloping roof formed by two parallel wings of private rooms (one family bedrooms and a guest) and a large body of common rooms that link and separate both. In this part also located the entrance, which is accessed through a courtyard open patio. Finally, a half-buried volume where games and entertainment space take place, both in the interior and roof.
